Welcome back to my blog.. June just few days to go and there's so many Young Adult books that i have wait released on June.
So, here's the list of my most anticipated June reads.
First book, My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows.
Remember Lady Jane Grey ? A girl who become Queen of England for 9 days and loses her head ? Yup ! This book tells her story. However, the authors of this book make a little change to her story and add a little touch of magic and how her story should've ended. In this book, the kingdom splits into two different groups : Edian and Farity. Edian has ability to shape shift into different animals, while Farity has no ability like us. The story begins, with King Edward, Lady Jane cousin he's dying with no heir to the throne. The kingdom evil advisor trick King Edward, and make Lady Jane next in line and make her engaged with the evil advisor son Giver / G. G is an Edian, he can shape shift into a horse. At day he spend his day as a horse and at night as his human self. Lady Jane doesn't want to be queen or even get married, but she found herself tied up to the kingdom conspiracy. So now, it's up to a dying king, reluctant queen, and a noble man to save the day. What do you think could go wrong ??

Second book, The Marked Girl by Lindsey Klingele.

This book is a new exciting YA fantasy tale, tell story about Cedric a crowned prince of Caelum & his royal friends including Kat, his betrothed find themselves in a modern day Los Angeles via magic portal and an evil traitor, Malquin. All they want is to go back home to Caelum. But soon they meet Liv, a filmmaker foster girl who just want to get out from the foster system and move on with her life. As Cedric and Liv venture LA together, they found out that Liv more connected to Caelum than they ever imagined. And finding home is no easy task.

Third book, Never Ever by Sara Saedi.
This book is a retelling of our childhood fantasy book, Peter Pan. Follows a girl named Wylie Dalton, she didn't believe in fairy tales or love at first sight. Until, she meet confident, mature, yet handsome Phinn at a party one night before her brother goes to Juvenile. She can't believe how fast she falls for him, and then he shows her he can fly and teach her. Soon, Wylie and her brother find themselves whisked away to a mysterious island off the coast of New York City where nobody ages beyond seventeen and life is a constant party. But, deeper Wylie falls for Phinn the more she discovers secret that has been kept from her and her brother. Somebody on the island has been lying to her, but the truth cannot stay hidden forever.

Fourth book, Autofocus by Lauren Gibaldi.
Our first contemporary June reads !! This story tells about Family as the main plot. Family has always been a loaded word for Maude, her birth mother died after giving her for adoption. When Maude visit her best friend, Treena at college in Tallahassee, Florida which is her birth mother hometown she try to discover her mother past with the help of Treena dorm mate Bennet. She start to realize that her mother past doesn't have to define her own future. This coming of age story poses the question, is who we are determined at birth or we can change as we grow ?

Fifth book, What Happens Now by Jennifer Castle.
It's summer ! what makes it more fun ? A summer contemporary reads !
This book, is one of them. But, if you don't like a story with mental illness characters, don't read this book.
Our main character, Ari Logan. She suffering from depression and she likes to hurt herself on purpose. Her life was messed up for me, her mom left her, her best friend drift away, and she spend her day playing caregiver to her half sister, Danielle. This summer, she meet Camden when he steps onto the beach of Ari's local swimming lake. At first, she only watch him from a far. Soon, they start to hang out, and talk about their favorite sci-fi fandom, etc. As Ari's romantic dreams come true, she must unlock the mysteries of the very real and troubled boy behind her infatuation, while she also struggling with her own demons, obligation, and loyalties.

Sixth book, With Malice by Eileen Cook.
If you love We Were Liars by E. Lockhart or Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, you'll definitely love this book.
This book tells about 18 year old teenage girl, Jill Charon she cannot remember the last six weeks of her life. It all start, when she went on her senior trip to Italy that was supposed to be an adventure of a lifetime turns to be her nightmare. She got into a fatal accident. When she woke up in a hospital room, her leg in a cast, stitches in her face, and a big blank canvas where the last six weeks should be. Jill then jetted home by her affluent father in order to receive a quality care, including lawyer, and press team because maybe the accident wasn't an accident.. Jill trying to put the pieces together of the events that happen the past six weeks before she loses her once perfect life.

The last book is Julia Vanishes by Catherine Egan.
This book is the first novel in a new fantasy trilogy, about a spy who can vanish at will and who discovers that monster, mystery, and magic are also lurking.. Just out of sight. The book tells about Julia, she has an unusual ability to be unseen. If you think she's invisible, not exactly.. Just beyond most people senses. Her ability is a dangerous trait in a city that has banned all forms of magic and drowns witches in public cleansing. But, it also a useful trait for a thief and a spy. And Julia, she's being paid very well to infiltrate the grand house of Mrs. Och and report back on the odd character who live there. But, what Julia discover the traitor in the house turns out to be her ! Soon Julia learns that even she can vanish, she can't walk away from her own worst deeds.
